Talk:Grandcaster, Variant (5e Class)

Seems a little... Overpowered.[edit]

So, you suggest a class that has d10 hit dice, has martial weapon proficiency, action surge on 1st level, access to EVERY cantrip, gets up to FOUR attacks at 15th level (instead of the Fighter's 20th level), gets the spell slots of a Wizard and regains them at the end of a short rest, can past normal stat caps at 9TH LEVEL, and can cast TWO SPELLS AT THE SAME TIME AT 7TH, among other extremely, EXTREMELY broken abilities. Either this is an April Fool's class without the tag, or this is your first time making making a class. There is very little concern of balance with base classes, no subclasses, and generally seems poorly-written.

I don't know if it is possible to redeem this class, but I encourage a rewriting from the base idea. As it stands, this class at level 20 could easily take down any high CR creature alone. If not a rewrite, I would just scrap this entirely. I sincerely hope you make something great in the future. --DrGuest (talk) 01:34, 10 October 2021 (MDT)
