Sorcerous Sender

Prerequisites: Ability to cast Sending
You’re the group’s communications officer.

  • Sending’s message length is increased to 30 words.
  • Sending may be cast as 1st or 2nd level spell, but reduce its maximum message length to 10 or 20 words, respectively.
  • Sending may be cast with any spell slot. When you cast Sending using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the maximum message length increases by 10 words for each slot level above 3rd.
  • You may use Sending to send a single message to multiple characters at once. The maximum number of targets is equal to the level of the spell slot expended.
  • You may use Sending to target anyone whose name you know, though if that’s all you know its possible the spell might send the message to another character with the same name.
  • You may use Sending to target anyone you can see, regardless of familiarity.
  • You can detect if anyone within 90ft of you receives or sends a message via Sending. This does not inform you to the contents of the message. You may scramble a message or response once per short rest.
  • If a Sending target on another plane receives your message, their response is guaranteed to arrive.
  • Sending may be cast as a bonus action.
