A Sorcerous creature is a being born with a spark of innate magical power.

Creating a Sorcerous creature[edit]

The Sorcerous template is an Inherited that can be added to any living, corporeal creature with an intelligence of at least 4 or more (Referred to hereafter as the base creature). A Sorcerous creature usually looks like a normal, though very attractive, member of their species.

A Sorcerous creature uses all the base creature’s statistics and special abilities except as noted here.

Special Qualities[edit]

Spells (Su): A Sorcerous creature casts arcane spells, which are drawn from the Sorcerer/Wizard list.He can cast any spell he knows without preparing it ahead of time. The Sorcerous creature gains bonus spells per day based off of their Charisma. The difficulty class for spells cast by a Sorcerous creature are equal to 10 + the spell level + the Sorcerous creature's Charisma Modifier. If a Sorcerous Creature ever gains levels in Sorcerer, their spells per day from being a Sorcerous creature and a Sorcerer can be used to cast spells from the spells known provided by either. Essentially, for a Sorcerous creature with levels in Sorcerer, calculate spells per day by level and with their Charisma taken into account, and then combine them into a single pool for each spell level. Their caster level for these spells is equal to their character level. They may learn Sorcerer specific spells.

Spell-like abilities (Su): A Sorcerous Creature has Light and Detect Magic as at-will Spell-like abilities.

Magic Aura (Su): A Sorcerous Creature has a Magical Aura, as a magical item with a Caster Level of their Character Level plus 1/4 their levels in Sorcerer plus their charisma modifier. If the strength of their Magic Aura ever reaches Overwhelming, they gain the following abilities.

-Incredible Power (Su): Whenever they cast a spell, or if an opponent sees their Magical Aura, all opponents who have seen the spell or their Magical Aura with less levels or hit die than them are stricken with fear by their sheer power, and become Shaken for 1d6+cha mod rounds. If those affected are already Shaken, then they become Frightened. Finally, if the affected is already Frightened, they become panicked. The effect is negated by a Will Save with a Difficulty Class of 10 + 1/2 Character Level + Cha Modifier. Allies who see you cast a spell or see your magical aura gain a +2 bonus on attack, damage, saving throw, and ability score rolls, along with 1d8+cha mod temporary hit points, for 1d6+cha mod rounds. This effect stacks.

-Arcane Body (Ex): Your magical power sustains and strengthens your body. You no longer need to eat, drink, sleep, or breath, and you gain a bonus of your charisma modifier times your hit die to your health, and add your charisma modifier to your Fortitude saves, along with damage reduction equal to 1/2 your charisma modifier. -

Skills[edit]

A Sorcerous Creature gains a +2 bonus on all Spellcraft, Concentration and Use Magic Device checks.

Feats[edit]

A Sorcerous Creature gains a bonus metamagic, item creation, or reserve feat for every 5 Character levels they possess. They must still qualify for any prerequisites, though they qualify as being a Sorcerer of their level for any such prerequisites.

Organization[edit]

Same as base creature.

Challenge Rating[edit]

+4 CR.

Treasure[edit]

Same as base creature.

Alignment[edit]

Sorcerous creatures tend to be more wild and free-spirited than other creatures of their kind, and are often Chaotic.

Advancement[edit]

By Character class. Additionally, a Sorcerous creature gains Sorcerer as an additional favored class.

Level Adjustment[edit]

Same as base creature +3
