Slowed (5e Variant Rule)

From D&D Wiki

Jump to: navigation, search

Slowed is a condition. While you are slowed, your movement is halved. For each foot you move, you must expend 1 extra foot of movement. To move a distance 5 feet it costs you 10 feet of movement, for example. Any increase or reduction to your speed is similarly halved.

You are slowed while moving through Difficult Terrain, while you are prone, and while you are swimming or climbing without an appropriate speed, among other effects. Your speed isn't halved more than once if you're affected by several of these at once.
