Set of Zariel (3.5e Equipment)

Set Of Zariel: This equipment used to belong to the Angel Zariel before she fell into the Nine Hells. These items are scattered across the material plane. They appear to be standard ordinary equipment, however when worn by someone who is attuned to the Sword of Zariel the equipment comes to life and reveals their magical properties. It is rumored that once all the items are worn and wielded by a single being something extraordinary happens, though no-one is quite sure of what.


Armor of Zariel: To a normal creature this armor appears to be superbly crafted Full-Plate and is surprisingly flexible. The armor grants its wearer a bonus but to a wearer who is attuned to the Sword Of Zariel the armor grants additional bonuses.

1. No movement penalty, and has a maximum DEX bonus equal to its wearers Dexterity Modifier.

1a. Grants DR 10 against Evil creatures or Spells with the Evil descriptor.

1b. Improves wearers flight speed by 1 condition.

1c. Allows the Sword of Zariel to be placed on the wearers back, the sword cant be removed from the back unless its by the attuned creature.


Gauntlets of Zariel: These gauntlets are beautifully crafted and just like with the Armor it grants its wearer a bonus and additional bonuses to the attuned wearer.

1. Grants 2d6 Holy damage to all melee attacks.

1a. +4 attack against Evil creatures

1b. Wearer can cast Banishment 1/day, Treat your character level as your Cleric/Paladin Level when determining the DC for the save.


Boots of Zariel: Exquisite leathercrafted boots. Just like the other items it grants its wearer a bonus and additional bonuses to the attuned wearer.

1. Grants the wearer +10 to their movement speed.

1a. Wearer isn't slowed by difficult terrain.

1b. Wearer is always under the effect of the haste spell while wearing the boots.

1c. Wearer can cast featherfall at will a number of times a day equal to the wearers Charisma Modifier.


Amulet of Zariel: A ornate Necklace with a large gold diamond in the center of it. As with the other items it grants its wearer a bonus and additional bonuses to the attuned wearer. 1. Wearer can cast Detect Evil at will while wearing the necklace.

1a. Can cast Cure Serious Wounds 3/day.

1b. Wearer is Immune to all types of poison and diseases form natural and even supernatural sources.


Fully Acquired Set: Once an attuned character has collected and is wearing the equipment the items begin to slowly start glowing gaining in intensity for the next few minuets. During this time the wearer begins to change and once the light fades they gain the following bonuses.

1. The wearer gains the Angel Subtype and Celestial Template.

2. The wearer ascends into a full fledged Archangel and may start taking levels in the following class: Archangel
