Saiyan[edit]

Personality[edit]

<Saiyans are known for their warrior spirit and love of combat. They thrive on challenges, constantly seeking opportunities to prove their strength and surpass their limits. A typical Saiyan is confident, ambitious, and often displays a competitive streak. They relish in the thrill of battle, and many Saiyans have a deep sense of honor, valuing fair fights and respecting formidable opponents.

On a normal day, Saiyans are driven by their desire for self-improvement and the pursuit of power. They tend to be energetic, always looking for ways to train and grow stronger. This dedication to personal growth can make them seem single-minded at times, as they prioritize strength above all else.

Saiyans also have a strong sense of camaraderie among their own kind. They value their Saiyan heritage and often form close bonds with other Saiyans, working together to achieve their goals, whether that's conquering new challenges, defending their home, or exploring the cosmos.

However, their warrior nature can also lead to moments of recklessness and impatience. Saiyans are not known for their patience and may act impulsively when provoked or when they see an opportunity for battle. Their strong emotions, both positive and negative, are a hallmark of their personality, and they can be fiercely protective of their loved ones.>

Lawful Neutral: Lawful Neutral Saiyans would prioritize order and structure but might not necessarily be focused on doing good or causing chaos. They would be disciplined and follow a strict set of personal rules or cultural norms.

Neutral Evil: While less common, there could be Saiyans who prioritize their own interests and are willing to harm others to achieve their goals. They may not actively seek chaos but wouldn't shy away from it if it serves their purposes.

Lawful Evil: Lawful Evil Saiyans would prioritize power, dominance, and their own interests while also adhering to a strict code or ideology. They would use their strength to control and subjugate others, seeking to establish order through force and manipulation.

Remember, alignment isn't rigid; Saiyans can deviate or change based on experiences and choices.>

Racial Traits[edit]

  • <-- +1 Str, +1 Dex, +1 Con -1 Int -1 Wis -->
  • <medium >: <Saiyans, being of being of medium size, do not receive specific size-related bonuses or penalties. They are generally well-balanced in terms of size attributes.>
  • <-- Saiyan --> base land speed is 30 feet :
  • <Saiyan Tail (Ex):

Saiyans are born with a prehensile tail, similar to that of a monkey. This tail provides them with several unique abilities:

Tail Strike: Saiyans can use their tail as a natural weapon, dealing 1d4 points of bludgeoning damage when making a successful unarmed strike. This tail strike can also be used to make Trip attempts.>:

  • Ki Point System (Su):

Saiyans possess an inner reserve of ki energy that grows with their experience and power. Their ki point pool increases by 5 points every time they gain a character level, as shown in the progression below:

Level 1: 5 ki points Level 2: 10 ki points Level 3: 15 ki points Level 4: 20 ki points Level 5: 25 ki points Level 6: 30 ki points Level 7: 35 ki points Level 8: 40 ki points Level 9: 45 ki points Level 10 and beyond: The Saiyan gains an additional 5 ki points for every character level beyond level 10. Saiyans can recharge their ki points through the following methods:

Eating: A Saiyan can restore 1 ki point for every full meal they consume, and 2 ki points for a particularly nourishing meal. Sleeping: A full night's rest (8 hours) restores ki points equal to the character's level multiplied by 5. Ki Ability : Level 1: Ki Blast

Ki Charge (Passive):

Ki Charge (Level 2, Passive): The Saiyan has learned to continuously harness and replenish their ki energy, even in the heat of battle. They can passively regain ki points every 5 minutes, with the rate of regeneration based on their character level. The rate is as follows:

Level 1-5: Regain 1 ki point every 5 minutes. Level 6-10: Regain 2 ki points every 5 minutes. Level 11 and beyond: Regain 3 ki points every 5 minutes. This ability allows the Saiyan to maintain a steady source of ki energy, ensuring they have access to their ki abilities when needed, even during combat or other intense situations. >

  • Ki Flight Level 2 (Su):

Saiyans possess the ability to harness their inner ki for sustained flight without a time limit. As a move action, a Saiyan can activate Ki Flight, expending ki points each round to remain aloft. The rate of ki point consumption depends on the character's level and chosen flight speed:

Flying at a speed of up to 5 feet (or 1 square) consumes ki points equal to half the character's level (rounded up). Flying at a speed of up to 10 feet (or 2 squares) consumes ki points equal to the character's level. Flying at a speed of up to 20 feet (or 4 squares) consumes ki points equal to 1.5 times the character's level (rounded up). Flying at a speed of up to 30 feet (or 6 squares) consumes ki points equal to twice the character's level. While using Ki Flight, Saiyans can engage in combat maneuvers, spellcasting, and other complex actions as normal. However, each round they engage in combat or use their abilities, they must expend an additional 3 ki points on top of the regular ki point cost for their chosen flight speed.

  • Zenkai Boost (Ex):

Saiyans have the remarkable ability to grow stronger after recovering from a near-death experience. When reduced to 25% of their hit points or lower but not killed outright, Saiyans gain a temporary boost in strength and agility that scales with their level. For a duration of 1 minute, they gain an additional racial bonus to their Strength and Dexterity equal to their character level divided by 2 (rounded down).

This ability can be used once per day and cannot be stacked. Additionally, after benefiting from the Zenkai Boost, the Saiyan is left fatigued for 1 hour due to the intense physical and mental strain of the experience.

Saiyan Genes[edit]

Saiyan Genes: The genetic makeup of a Saiyan character plays a significant role in defining their potential and abilities. At the beginning of character creation, roll a d100 to determine the composition of your Saiyan genes:

1/25 (25%) - 5 Saiyan Cells: Your character possesses a relatively small percentage of Saiyan cells within their genetic makeup. This indicates a weaker Saiyan heritage, making it more challenging for them to access the full range of Saiyan transformations and abilities.

25/50 (25%) - 10 Saiyan Cells: With a moderate presence of Saiyan cells, your character's heritage leans more towards their Saiyan lineage. They have a reasonable chance of tapping into their Saiyan potential and achieving mid-tier transformations and power levels.

50/75 (25%) - 20 Saiyan Cells: Your character boasts a significant concentration of Saiyan cells, indicating a strong Saiyan heritage. This genetic makeup grants them a higher potential for unlocking advanced Saiyan transformations and harnessing formidable levels of power.

75/100 (25%) - 30 Saiyan Cells: Your character boasts a Extreme concentration of Saiyan cells, indicating a Insanely strong Saiyan heritage. This genetic makeup grants them a Much higher potential Then Most Saiyans.

Primal Ki[edit]

rimal Ki (P-Ki): Primal Ki is the very life force of the Saiyan race, representing their innate strength, unyielding spirit, and deep connection to their primal instincts. It is a unique form of energy that courses through their bodies, fueling their power and determination.

Characteristics of Primal Ki include:

Innate Strength: Primal Ki is the foundation of a Saiyan's power. It is the energy that allows them to achieve incredible feats of strength, speed, and endurance. It serves as the bedrock upon which their other forms of Ki are built.

Oozaru Transformation: Saiyans with a strong connection to Primal Ki often find it easier to access their Oozaru transformation, a state where they transform into gigantic, powerful apes under the influence of a full moon. This transformation multiplies their power exponentially.

Unyielding Spirit: Primal Ki embodies the Saiyan warrior spirit, making them resilient in the face of adversity. It grants them the tenacity to continue fighting even when severely injured, pushing their limits to new heights.

Primal Instincts: This type of Ki is closely linked to the Saiyan's primal instincts, sharpening their senses and making them formidable hunters and warriors. It enhances their ability to read opponents and react swiftly in battle.

Energy Control: While it is raw and untamed, Primal Ki can be harnessed and controlled with training. Saiyans can learn to focus this energy for various purposes, such as energy blasts and protective auras.

Evolution: As Saiyans grow and train, their connection to Primal Ki evolves. They tap into deeper reservoirs of power, unlocking new transformations and abilities, such as the Super Saiyan forms.

Warrior Heritage: Primal Ki is a testament to the Saiyan race's warrior heritage. It is a reminder of their roots as a fierce and indomitable warrior people.

Saiyans who embrace and master their Primal Ki are often at the forefront of battles, pushing their limits beyond what others might deem possible. It is the core energy that defines them as a warrior race, and it serves as the foundation for their many extraordinary achievements in the realm of combat.

What Are Saiyan Cells?[edit]

Saiyan Cell Physiology and Characteristics:

Saiyan Origins: Saiyan cells are an integral part of the Saiyan race, an extraterrestrial warrior species known for their incredible strength, resilience, and combat prowess. Saiyans evolved on the harsh planet Vegeta, which played a significant role in shaping their cellular structure.

Cell Regeneration: Saiyan cells possess a remarkable ability to regenerate and adapt. When a Saiyan survives a near-fatal injury, their cells kick into high gear, rapidly repairing the damaged tissues and making them stronger in the process. This trait is known as "Zenkai."

Zenith of Power: Saiyan cells are most active and potent when the individual is pushed to the brink of death. Each recovery from a near-death experience triggers a significant power boost. However, these Zenkai boosts have diminishing returns, becoming less potent with each occurrence.

Saiyan Tail: In the past, Saiyans possessed a monkey-like tail, which was a vital part of their biology. When a Saiyan with a tail looks at a full moon, they undergo a transformation into a giant ape known as a Great Ape or Oozaru. This form grants immense power but often leads to a loss of control.

Saiyan Transformations: Saiyan cells are also responsible for the legendary transformations that Saiyans are known for. Each transformation taps into different aspects of a Saiyan's potential, such as raw power and speed.

Saiyan Cells[edit]

Saiyan Cells (Ex): Saiyan Cells represent the unique biological component of Saiyans that enable them to unlock their latent potential, achieve transformations, and recover from extreme battles. Saiyan Cells are typically gained through intense combat experiences and Zenkai boosts. Here's how Saiyan Cells work:

Gaining Saiyan Cells: Saiyan Cells are earned through specific in-game experiences and Zenkai boosts, such as surviving near-death situations or significant battles. Each time a Saiyan character experiences a Zenkai boost, they gain a number of Saiyan Cells equal to their character level, representing the surge in power and potential unlocked through adversity.

Saiyan Cell Requirements: Saiyan Cells are crucial for accessing powerful transformations and abilities. Each transformation or ability has a Saiyan Cell requirement, which must be met before a Saiyan can access it. For example:

Oozaru Transformation: Requires 5 Saiyan Cells.

Saiyan Cell Growth: Saiyan Cells can continue to grow as Saiyans gain more experience and face greater challenges. When a Saiyan character levels up, they gain an additional 5 Saiyan Cells. Additionally, any Zenkai boosts during their adventures grant them a further number of Saiyan Cells equal to their character level.

Abilitys:

  • Oozaru Transformation (Su):

Saiyans possess the unique ability to transform into the mighty Oozaru form when certain conditions are met. To undergo the Oozaru Transformation, a Saiyan must have their tail intact, and there must be a full moon in the night sky. The transformation can be used once per day and scales with the Saiyan's level:

Levels 1-5: During the transformation, they gain a +1 racial bonus to Strength, a +0.5 racial bonus to their natural armor, and temporary hit points equal to half their character level (rounded down). They grow in size, increasing their height by approximately 10 feet, and their weight is significantly increased due to their larger size, calculated as if they were one size category larger than normal.

Levels 6-10: During the transformation, they gain a +2 racial bonus to Strength, a +1 racial bonus to their natural armor, and temporary hit points equal to their character level. Their behavior becomes highly unpredictable, and they may act aggressively even towards enemies if provoked.

Levels 11 and beyond: At this level, they gain full control over their Oozaru form and can act as normal. During the transformation, they gain a +1.5 racial bonus to Strength, a +3 racial bonus to their natural armor, and temporary hit points equal to their character level

False Super Saiyan Transformation (Su):

Prerequisite: Character level 3 or higher and at least 30 Saiyan Cells.

As a Saiyan, you have the innate potential to access the False Super Saiyan transformation when you tap into your latent power during moments of intense emotion, usually triggered by anger or desperation. This transformation grants you a significant power boost, although it is not as profound or controlled as the traditional Super Saiyan form.

Activation: You can activate the False Super Saiyan transformation as a swift action by spending Ki points. To do so, you must be at or below 50% of your maximum hit points.

Levels 4-6: +1 racial bonus to Strength, Dexterity, and Natural Armor Constitution . Levels 7-10: +1.5 racial bonus to Strength, Dexterity, and Natural Armor Constitution . Levels 11 and beyond: +2 racial bonus to Strength, Dexterity, and Natural Armor Constitution . Duration: The duration of the False Super Saiyan transformation scales with your character level:

Levels 4-6: 1 minutes (10 rounds). Levels 7-10: 2 minutes (20 rounds). Levels 11 and beyond: 3 minutes (30 rounds). Fatigue: After using the False Super Saiyan transformation, you are left fatigued for 1 hour due to the physical and mental strain of the experience.

Ki Drain: While in the False Super Saiyan state, you must spend Ki points at the start of each of your turns to maintain the transformation. The Ki point cost scales with your character level:

Levels 4-6: 6 Ki points per turn. Levels 7-10: 4 Ki points per turn. Levels 11 and beyond: 3 Ki point per turn.

Super Saiyan Transformation (Su):

Prerequisite: Character level 6 or higher, at least 150 Saiyan Cells.

As a Saiyan who has Super Saiyan power with greater control and efficiency. The Super Saiyan Transformation represents a state where you can fully access the power of a Super Saiyan. This state provides you with a substantial boost in strength while still retaining the Ki drain mechanics.

Activation: You can activate the Super Saiyan Transformation as a swift action by spending Ki points. To do so, you must be in your normal Saiyan form, have at least 150 Saiyan Cells.

Appearance: When you enter the Super Saiyan state, your appearance changes dramatically. Your hair turns golden and stands on end, your eyes become teal, and a vibrant golden aura surrounds you. Your overall presence becomes imposing and fierce, resembling the classic Super Saiyan appearance.

Effects:

Power Increase: While in the Super Saiyan state, you gain a racial bonus to your Strength, Dexterity, Constitution and Natural Armor that scales with your character level:

Levels 8-10: +2 racial bonus to Strength, Dexterity, Constitution and Natural Armor. Levels 11-12: +2.5 racial bonus to Strength, Dexterity, Constitution and Natural Armor. Levels 13 and beyond: +3 racial bonus to Strength, Dexterity, Constitution and Natural Armor. Ki Drain: While in the Super Saiyan state, you must spend Ki points at the start of each of your turns to maintain the transformation. The Ki point cost scales with your character level:

Levels 8-10: 4 Ki points per turn. Levels 11-12: 3 Ki points per turn. Levels 13 and beyond: 2 Ki points per turn. Duration: The duration of the Super Saiyan transformation scales with your character level:

Levels 6-10: 2 minutes (20 rounds).

Levels 11-12: 3 minutes (30 rounds).

Levels 13 and beyond: 4 minutes (40 rounds).

Fatigue: After using the Super Saiyan transformation, you are left fatigued for 1 hour due to the physical and mental strain of the experience.

Cooldown: After using the Super Saiyan transformation, you can't enter it again for at least 1 hour.

Downsides[edit]

Tail Vulnerability (Ex):

Saiyans have prehensile tails, which can be a vulnerability in combat. If an opponent successfully targets a Saiyan's tail with a called shot during combat, it causes discomfort and distraction. The effect is as follows:

At levels 1-5: The vulnerability imposes a -2 penalty to all rolls (attack rolls, skill checks, and saving throws) for the duration of the next 2 rounds or until the Saiyan receives magical healing. At levels 6-10: The vulnerability imposes a -1 penalty to all rolls for the duration of the next round or until the Saiyan receives magical healing. Beyond level 10: The Saiyan's mastery over their tail has improved, and they are no longer vulnerable to called shots targeting their tail.

Moonlight Weakness (Su):

While the full moon can trigger their Oozaru Transformation, it is also a source of vulnerability for Saiyans. When exposed to the light of a full moon, Saiyans must succeed on a Will saving throw with a DC of 5 + their character level or be compelled to transform into their Oozaru form, even if they do not wish to do so. Once transformed, they lose control of their actions and may attack friends or foes indiscriminately.

To scale this with the player:

At levels 1-5: The DC for the Will saving throw is 5 + character level. If they fail, they transform uncontrollably. At levels 6-10: The DC for the Will saving throw is 5 + half their character level (rounded down). If they fail, they transform uncontrollably. Beyond level 10: The Saiyan's control over their transformations has improved significantly, and they are immune to the compulsive effect of the full moon.

Ki Exhaustion (Su):

Saiyans have a finite reserve of ki energy, and when they push themselves to the brink, the consequences can be severe. When they run out of ki points in combat, they become physically and mentally fatigued, suffering from the following penalties:

Complete Ki Depletion (0 Ki Points): When a Saiyan's ki points are completely depleted, they suffer immediate and severe exhaustion. They become physically and mentally drained, losing the will to fight effectively. The penalties include:

A -4 penalty to Strength, Dexterity for the duration of the encounter. Speed reduced to half normal. Disadvantage on all attack rolls, saving throws, and ability checks. Vulnerability to critical hits: Attacks against the exhausted Saiyan score a critical hit on a roll of 19-20. Ki Depletion Below 20%: When a Saiyan's ki points drop below 20% of their maximum, they start experiencing the early signs of exhaustion, hampering their combat capabilities. The penalties include:

A -2 penalty to Strength and Dexterity. Speed reduced by 10 feet. Disadvantage on Dexterity-based ability checks and saving throws. To scale this with the player:

Levels 1-5: Ki depletion below 20% of maximum. Levels 6-10: Ki depletion below 30% of maximum. Levels 11-15: Ki depletion below 50% of maximum. Levels 15 and beyond: Saiyans have learned to manage their ki more efficiently, and they no longer suffer from exhaustion due to ki depletion.

Natural Warrior (Ex):

Saiyans are natural warriors and constantly seek challenges and combat experiences. However, their focus on combat and personal growth can sometimes make them less inclined to pursue other endeavors. Saiyans receive a penalty to Knowledge (Arcana), Knowledge (History), and Knowledge (Nature) checks.

Levels 1-5: Saiyans receive a -2 penalty to the mentioned Knowledge checks. Levels 6-10: As Saiyans gain experience and broaden their horizons, the penalty decreases to -1. Levels 11 and beyond: Saiyans, with their increasing wisdom and knowledge, no longer suffer a penalty to these Knowledge checks.

Vital Statistics[edit]

{{Random Starting Ages |race=<-- Saiyan --> |base=<--Base Starting Age: Adulthood for Saiyans is typically reached around 12 years>

Age Modifier for Simple Classes: Saiyan characters who choose simple classes such as Barbarian, Rogue, and Sorcerer typically start their adventuring careers at the same age as there base age. Therefore, they do not receive a specific age modifier

Age Modifier for Moderate Classes: Saiyan characters who choose simple classes such as Bard, Fighter, and Paladin, Ranger typically start their adventuring careers at the same age as there base age. Therefore, they do not receive a specific age modifier

Age Modifier for Complex Classes: Saiyan characters who choose complex classes such as Cleric, Druid, Monk, and Wizard tend to start their adventuring careers at a more mature age compared to humans in these classes. This is because Saiyan society places a greater emphasis on physical combat and warrior training, and those who pursue these complex paths often do so after years of martial experience

Age Modifier: Saiyan characters in complex classes typically start 5 years older than There Base Age in these classes. This reflects their delayed entry into these more intellectually or spiritually focused professions, as young Saiyans often prioritize combat training and combat-related classes
