Rust rats are most often found in crypts, underneath shoals of weathered rust plates in the land of Vemyn. They are quite simple animals, but like their usual counterparts, they get virtually everywhere. The acid rain often drives them underground where the omnivorous critters feed on corpses, eating them complete with armor. Often called Piranha's of the Rustlands, their strong teeth and fast metabolism helps them to devour rust and leather. They are slightly stronger and more aggressive than usual rats, but they will most often flee from humanoids just as easily. Due to the toxins and all kinds of hazardous vapors that plague the entire realms of Vemyn, mutations are often seen and therefore a scarce few of them can grow to sizes up to 2 and a half feet. The average rust rat has a 10 inch body with an equally long tail. Some monstrously overgrown members of the rust rat species present more of a problem, and attack more readily when provoked. These dire specimens have a 3 to 5 feet long body, and an equally long tail
