Rithaniels reality strobe changes the properties of reality within a given area, effectively duplicating that area and having existence seem to flicker back and forth between the original version of the part of reality, and its duplicate version. Many top arcane authorities believe that the effects of this spell deal with the manipulation of time and not space as the actual execution of the spell would lead one to believe.

Upon the conclusion of the casting of this spell, everything within the area to be affected that is not anchored or attached in some manner to something outside the affected area by an binding or sealant that has a break DC of at least 10, vanishes, reappearing 6 seconds (or one round) later. In game terms this means that anything within the area skips its next round. To anything caught within the area, it seems as though no time has passed at all, and things outside the area just seem to be skipping forward oddly every 6 seconds. If, during the 6 seconds that anything within the affected area have dissappeared, something else moves into the affected area, then when the things or beings who have dissappeared reappear, then they vanish in kind, reappearing whenever anything within the area vanishes again. In this way the two seperate versions of the affected area seem to "leapfrog" over each other in time.

The only way to avoid vanishing whenever the affected area switches to the alternate version is to be attached, anchored, or tied to something outside the affected area by something with a break DC of at least 10. If rithaniels reality strobe is dispelled while there is something in both versions of the affect area, then the two versions of the affected area meld, and everything within each version of the selected area find themselves surrounded by everything that had occupied the other version of the affected area. If two objects or beings were occupying the same space in each respective version of the affected area, then they are shunted to the side of each other should the rithaniels reality strobe be dispelled. If rithaniels reality strobe is cast upon an area already under the effects of another rithaniels reality strobe spell, then a third version of the area is created, and each individual version misses an extra round as they "leapfrog" over this third version of the affected area. There is no limit to the number of Rithaniels reality strobe's that can be in effect on a specified area at one time, although the DM should excercise caution to keep it within playable reason.

Material Component: A specially treated, steel rod carved with runes worth at least 2,000 gp, plus another rod worth 2,000 gp per 20 ft.×20 ft.×20 ft. cube.
