History[edit]

ANTIQUITY

Rhakotis grew around the library of Caer Wyrmshold. Scholars believe that the library actually predates time itself. In ancient stories, Rhakotis and Caer Wyrmshold are used interchangeably.

Rhakotis grew into a state of significant power.

WAR OF GOOD AND EVIL

In this time the Mage's Cooperative came to rule Caer Wyrmshold. Many good and evil nations gathered and fought on Rhakotis soil creating a scare and as such, through diplomacy, the Mage's Cooperative was created; as a protective guard for Caer Wyrmshold.

THREE EMPIRES

The transgressor movement established itself in Rhakotis during these years. That movement brought about the Wars of Law and Chaos.

WARS OF LAW AND CHAOS

Rhakotis was the center of the Transgressor movement, and the key city in the Wars of Law and Chaos.

RECENT EVENTS
  • Thieves breached an ancient tomb, only to release a malingering evil from ancient days.

Planar Information[edit]

Rhakotis lies along a long shallow river valley. Gnyoll, the river in the valley, freezes over each winter. On the eastern bank the independent state of Caer Wyrmshold can be found; it's boundaries marked by a large majestic wall hewn out of pure white marble. The state of Rhakotis spreads around around Caer Wyrmshold, with the capital entirely surrounding it. Boats can be found sailing up and down the river when weather permits moving supplies from small surrounding villages to the capital or sailing by Caer Wyrmshold's majestic walls delivering supplies from one end of the capital to another. Many smaller towns and villages can be found in the surrounding territory. Outposts mark the boundary of Rhakotis.

The climate is cold and wet. In winter snow can be found on the streets and in summer rain is commonplace.

Rhakotis contains one of the Grand Portals. It is heavily guarded.
