Tiefling Subrace[edit]
Ability Score Increase. Your Strength score increases by 1.
Giant Toughness. Your hit point maximum increases by 1, and it increases by 1 every time you gain a level. (This trait replaces the Hellish Resistance trait.)
Legacy of the Ogre Mage. You know the ray of frost cantrip. Once you reach 3rd level, you can cast the sleep spell once. Once you reach 5th level, you can cast either the alter self or invisibility spell once. You must finish a long rest to cast one of these spells again with this trait. Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells when you cast them with this trait (choose when you select this race).
