The novice necromancer is a spellcaster who wants to learn necromancy, but is having difficulties, or is an apprentice to someone else. They have learned very basic necromancy, and have the ability to conjure low-level undead. They mostly spend their days in solitude, most likely out in the woods or a cellar in a city somewhere, practicing their necromancy skills. Many novice necromancers are good people but are mostly shunned for their practice of necromancy. Some are evil, likely pushed to the brink by others, which reinforces the stereotype of necromancers being evil, which causes the cycle to continue.
