A cute little animal slides on its belly over to you. It has green wrinkled skin and a sad face. Its eyes are the purest blue and in them you can see that it's frightened of you.
Mongrels play on people's perceptions of their cuteness. They look like squat pigs whose bellies slide on the ground when they walk. However, this is all a charade to cover up what they really are. Their tongues, which they never show to any but those they kill, look like a skinless vulture head on a long stalk.
Mongrels never enter normal combat; they prefer to sneak attack the opponents caught off guard by their true nature.
Sneak Attack (Su): Deals +2d6 points of damage against foes who are flat-footed, flanked or denied their Dex bonus.
Cute Posture (Ex): Foes are taken by a Mongrel's cute looks. Each makes a Sense motive check against the creatures Bluff check. Those who lose are certain it is harmless and try to help it. The first attack made by a Mongrel in this time treats the opponent as flat-footed.
Extra-Terrain Qualities (Ex): Mongrels can survive 1 hour out of their own atmosphere for every point of Con bonus (1 hour minimum).
Mongrels are the first unsuccessful attempts by the alien organisms to create and oxygen-tolerant creature.
