Tiefling Subrace[edit]

You have heritage connected to the equine fiends known as Nightmares or Hell Horses. You share their powerful legs and hooves, and their ability to leave paths of fire where you tread.

Ability Score Increase. Your Strength score increases by 1.
Equine Nimbleness. Your movement speed increases by 5 feet.
Fell Stride. As an action you can move up to your speed, and when you finish moving, all the space behind you becomes difficult terrain until the start of your next turn. Any creature that moves through or starts its turn within this difficult terrain must make a Dexterity saving throw (DC = 8 + your Constitution modifier + your proficiency bonus) or take 1d6 fire damage, taking half as much damage on a successful saving throw. This damage increases by 1d6 at 5th-Level (2d6), 11th-Level (3d6), and 17th-Level (4d6). You can use this trait a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Hooves. You have tough hooves that you can use to make unarmed strikes. When you hit with it, the strike deals 1d6 + your Strength modifier bludgeoning damage, instead of the bludgeoning damage normal for an unarmed strike.
