Undead Fortitude. If damage reduces the zombie to 0 hit points, it must make a Constitution saving throw with a DC of 5 + the damage taken, unless the damage is radiant damage or from a critical hit. On a success, the zombie drops to 1 hit point instead.

ACTIONS

Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (1d6 + 2) bludgeoning damage.

Strangling Grasp. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit (with disadvantage), reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (1d6 + 2) bludgeoning damage, and the target is grappled (escape DC 13). Until the grapple ends, the zombie may use its action to automatically inflict 5 (1d6 + 2) bludgeoning damage to the grappled creature each turn and it can't use Strangling Grasp.

A variation on the standard zombie, this is the stiff but relentless corpse depicted in cinema. As a foe, it is of particular use in contrasting its style of threat versus that of the nimble skeleton.
