Kenjutsu Student [Lesser Style]

You practice an ancient martial art, with a key emphasis on the use of the Katana.
Prerequisite: Fighter, Ranger, Warlord or Barbarian; proficiency with the Katana
Associated weapons: Katana
Associated classes: Fighter
Benefit: You gain a +2 feat bonus to Perception checks. Kenjutsu masters emphasize readiness before a battle, to detect an enemy and strike quickly, using the proper footwork and battlefield awareness to prepare before a battle, rather than strike with the weapon alone.
When you hit an enemy with a power associated with this feat, it also takes a -1 penalty to all defenses until the end of your next turn.
Associated powers: Reaping Strike (fighter, PHB1), Careful Strike (ranger, PHB1), Wolf Pack Tactics (warlord, PHB1), Stalk and Strike" (barbarian, Heroes of the Feywild),

Note: The Beserker qualifies as both a Martial and Primal character.



Kenjutsu Master [Greater Style]

Prerequisite: Barbarian; Kenjutsu Student
Benefit: Whenever you are wielding a Katana, you gain the following benefits.
You gain a +2 bonus to initiative. Being a Kenjutsu Master is as much about the footwork and preparation before a battle as it is about striking with your weapon.
When you hit an enemy with an attack associated with the power, it also slowed (save ends).
Associated powers: Thundering Smash Level 3 (Page 47, HotF), Shattering Strike Level 7 (Page 49, HotF), Blood for Strength Level 13 (Page 50, HotF), Forceful Spirits Level 17 (Page 51, HotF), Driving Smash Level 23 (Page 51, HotF), Forceful Evisceration Level 27 (Page 52, HotF)

Kenjutsu Expert [Greater Style]

Prerequisite: Fighter; Kenjutsu Student
Benefit: Whenever you are wielding a Katana, you gain the following benefits.
You gain a +2 bonus to initiative. Being a Kenjutsu Master is as much about the footwork and preparation before a battle as it is about striking with your weapon.
When you hit an enemy with an attack associated with the power, it also slowed (save ends).
Associated powers: Sweeping Blow Level 3 (PHB 1, page 79), Hydra Charge (MP2, page 12), Assured Strike Level 13 (MP1 1, Page 14), Exacting Strike Level 17 (PHB 1, Page 83), Warrior's Urging Level 23 (PHB 1, Page 85), Cruel Reaper Level 27 (PHB 1, Page 85)

Kenjutsu Adept [Greater Style]

Prerequisite: Ranger; Kenjutsu Student
Benefit: Whenever you are wielding a Katana, you gain the following benefits.
You gain a +2 bonus to initiative. Being a Kenjutsu Master is as much about the footwork and preparation before a battle as it is about striking with your weapon.
You can use the associated powers in place of a melee basic attack.
Associated powers: Cut and Run Level 3 (PHB 1, Page 106), Claws of the Griffin Level 7 (PHB 1, Page 108), Armor Splinter Level 13 (PHB 1, Page 109), Cheetah's Rake Level 17 (PHB 1, Page 110), Cloak of Thorns Level 23 (PHB 1, Page 112), Death Rend Level 27 (PHB 1, Page 112)

Kenjutsu Commander [Greater Style]

Prerequisite: Warlord; Kenjutsu Student
Benefit: Whenever you are wielding a Katana, you gain the following benefits.
You gain a +2 bonus to initiative. Being a Kenjutsu Master is as much about the footwork and preparation before a battle as it is about striking with your weapon.
When you hit an enemy with an attack associated with the power, it also slowed (save ends).
