Gryffindor[edit]

The descendants of Godric Gryffindor, once rulers of the old world, they are now the foolhardy residents that bring the light to of the vale of shadows.

Physical traits[edit]

Humanoid in appearance, gryffindors have wild fiery hair that can come in many shades of red, orange, or yellow. They muscle built, yet surprisingly light and lithe. They come in many shades of tan, believe it or not.

History[edit]

Godric Gryffindor was a man who had six children, three boys and three girls. They had spread to the four corners of the world, spreading their fame in dueling. Now, another wizard who was obsessed with pure blood, decided to try and make super soldiers with interbreeding and making several potions for them to test, eventually resulting in giving them evocation, transmutation, and pyrokinesis. Soon, the wizard had an entire army at his hand. With them, he took over lands beyond the gnomic empire, and became an emperor with an iron fist. Also soon enough, a slytherin came one Gryffindor’s way and convinced them to fight against their cruel leader. Not long after that, that gryffindor rose to rebel and inspired others all over the soon to be called Gryffindian empire. The gryffindor that rose above was named Olivia Gryffindor, and she led the Gryffindian empire into a golden age of peace and prosperity. But alas, nothing can last forever. About a century after the golden age began, a rebel group known as the true home came and tore the empire apart, bit by bit, until the empire was weak enough to be attacked. The true home was merciless , and rounded up 90% of the gryffindor population, and exiled them to the vale of shadows. The other 10% got away, and to this day the true home has hunted down any gryffindor that is outside the vale of shadows, and sends them right back, if they escaped somehow.

Society[edit]

Despite common belief, gryffindors are very stable minded, and base their entire society around four factors; Time, space, music, and logic. Time comes into play because gryffindors are in charge of the eternal clock, the clock that controls time on each and every plane, including their own. Gryffindors have always been fascinated with the idea of space and the quantum realm. They are major astronomers and astrologers. Also, their entire society runs on quantum energy, so it’s a cross between medieval comfort and futuristic technology. Music and logic are factors that go hand in hand with each other, music is a big part of the culture, and operates most of the society. As for logic, it comes in the form of puzzles, which is what music usually is used for. At the center of each gryffindor settlement, there is a large hearth, and the hearth always looks like a phoenix. It’s the settlement’s heart and soul, and if put out, would let in all the monsters of the vale of shadows. Their core colors are crimson and gold, and make very comfy furniture.
