Oozaru. If Gohan looks at the full moon while he is benefitting from Prehensile Tail, he gains the following benefits.

  • His size increases to Huge.
  • His Strength becomes 16(+3), his Dexterity 22(+6), and his Constitution 20(+5) As such, his AC becomes 19, his bonus to hit for his Unarmed Strikes and Ki Blast attack becomes +11, and bonus to damage for those attacks becomes +6, his maximum hit points increase by 28, his maximum ki points by 2, and his movement speed by 20 feet.

Saiyan Power. If Gohan is reduced to 0 Hit Points and isn't stable after utilizing the Further Beyond feature, he can permanently increase one Ability Score by 1 to a maximum of 20 after regaining at least 14 hit points, he can only do this five times (three instances in strength and constitution, redistribute or remove as appropriate).

For six months after his father's death, Gohan survived in the wilderness alongside dinosaurs having been abandoned by Piccolo, who remained nearby with a constantly watchful eye. After revealing the power of his Oozaru transformation within the first 6 days, Piccolo had no other choice but to destroy the moon and remove the tail from the unconscious child, creating a new pair of clothes and a sword. For the rest of the year, the two trained fiercely, though most notably, Gohan's good nature began to rub off on the once-demonic Piccolo. Upon the saiyan invasion, Gohan, Piccolo, and Krillin were the first on the scene, shortly followed by Yamcha, Tien, and Chiaotzu. After the group eliminated the saibamen, Gohan was only able to briefly muster the courage to attack the imposing Nappa, even botching the finishing Masenko of a combination attack between him, Piccolo, and Krillin. After a three hour rest awaiting Goku's arrival from the afterlife, the fight continued. As the large saiyan threw a deadly ki blast at Gohan, his life flashed before his eyes before Piccolo intercepted it, his mentor dying in front of him. Firing one final, ineffectual Masenko, Gohan fell to the ground, but was rescued by Goku's nimbus; Earth's strongest warrior had arrived. While otherwise becoming a non-combatant for the rest of the fight, he did reflect a spirit bomb into Vegeta, and at one point crushed him with a temporary Oozaru transformation before having his tail finally removed by a destructo disk. After receiving a zenkai from recovering from his injuries in West City's Wukong Hospital, Gohan, Krillin, and Bulma took to the stars, searching for Planet Namek in hopes of reviving the Earth's Dragon Balls.
