Draught of Toad (5e Equipment)

Potion, uncommon

A potion that causes the drinker to gain poison resistance as well as contact poison sweat, but also makes the drinker turn green and warty.

This tiny vial contains thick, green, but efflorescent sludge that can dissolve quickly in a drink without much taste. Its effects kick in after a few minutes, causing the consumer to turn green and warty, and begin sweating toxic sweat. While the potion is taking effect, the consumer gains poison resistance. The sweat acts as a contact poison with a DC 15 CON save; anyone who fails is poisoned. Each round, the victim must save VS a DC 13 CON save or take 1d4 points of poison damage. After 3 successful consecutive saves, the poison ends. The poisonous sweat evaporates fairly quickly and cannot be stored without specialized tools. The potion lasts for 2 hours, but only 1 if the consumer already has poison resistance, and does not effect consumers who have poison immunity. It also causes a severe (but not ultimately debilitating) stomachache, as well as dehydration from the large amounts of sweat, so anyone not familiar with the potion's effect will assume they've been poisoned.
