I am thinking of making a three dimensional map. Any thoughts? I have started briefly and liked the results; however, I am not sure whether the many hours of labor that will be spent are worth the project's result. Thoughts?

I was also thinking of using Legos for my characters and map (buildings).

Might be difficult to make one... I have an alternative to just making a map yourself; try using this. Its a campaign mapping set with 3D plastic tiles that you can use to make maps (and it can be re-used!). Its designed for warhammer but will work for what you want... You just have to paint the tiles.

Expensive but I will check it out. Thanks.

If you do use it do not glue the tiles together! Then you can re-use it.

Tape then?

No, they fit together and then you can take them apart later. The fit is strong enough to hold them together without adheisive substances.

The set comes as sprues in a box (like airfix!), you clip them out, paint them (easier than it looks...) and then use them. This might help...
