Cutebolds are quite different from their kobold cousins despite sharing the same small, nimble appearance. For example, a kobold's appearance has scales, but cutebolds usually have grey skin of a texture like that of humans, and sometimes are completely covered in fine fur. They also have regular humanoid teeth that are much like humans, except for 2 small visible fangs. They are also slightly smaller than the average kobold. Cranial features include long floppy ears, large dark eyes, and snouts. Most of the time their skin is grey, but they can be born with different skin colors: black (the least common), brown, sliver, copper, dark red, light blue, dark blue, and moss green. These cutebolds are treated no different than other cutebolds. They can, on rare occurrences, be born with fur. Colors are solid brown (the most common), white (the least common), black, moss green, grey, or gold.

History[edit]

Not much is known about cutebolds regarding their history, but they have ancestry with kobolds. It is possible they arose from the tunnels where kobolds dwelt, defecting from the cult of the enslaved god. They do not seek revenge, and they melded seamlessly into other societies, unlike kobolds. The kobolds, envious of the cutebolds cute looks and longer lifespan, hate them with every ounce of their being, and both are mortal enemies with the other. The cutebolds usually give them no notice, as society would probably back them on a heartbeat if a war came between the two.

Society[edit]

Cutebold society is tribal in nature. Leading them is a chieftain, a shaman or other religious head, and an overseer. They only worship one deity known as Kodkod, not following the beliefs of their kobold cousins. The shelters cutebolds favor are caves or abandoned forts for their tribal settlements. They survive by fishing, hunting, farming, and stealing from other creatures. They steal anything shiny or small enough to fit in their clothing, which often gets them in trouble of all sorts.

Often when a cutebold is bored, they play wrestling games with other cutebolds or play games like hopscotch and jump rope, or any other playground games, for this matter. Another interesting thing about cutebolds is their childlike innocence; they don't like killing or hurting anything intelligent unless they have nowhere to go and are forced to defend themselves. When they hunt, they try to kill their animal prey as quickly as possible. Like kobolds, they move in packs to avoid disadvantage by their small size. They also have no idea what intercourse is. They usually reproduce when one cutebold is wrestling with another of the opposite gender, and sometimes an "accident" will happen. They are considered a naive and pure race. They do have some idea of love, though. For example, a cutebold nose-rubs with someone they really like in private. Otherwise, they just act sickeningly cute.

When provoked into combat, cutebolds tend to wield simple and ranged weapons, like daggers and slings. Some cutebolds also learn and use magic to protect their tribe, as well as entertainment. They are very fond of new experiences, like tools of trades and foreign lands.

Cutebold Names[edit]

Cutebold names are gender-ambiguous, meaning that a male and female cutebold can both be named the same thing. Names are made by taking a consonant and putting a random amount of vowels in between them and switching it up a bit at the end. Sometimes they may use the same vowel twice. Names usually end with an "s" or "r".

Names: Furibilis, Ligidilomibus, Fitolayemer, Tolurisinis, Pulabolus, Laatiya
