Culinarian

You are a master of taste, a proprietor of the pantry. Culinarians range from a home cook serving your family's generations-old recipe or brew, a head chef of a Royal palace, or an adventurer set on finding nature's rarest and best ingredients; you know what pleases the palette, and that presentation isn't everything (although it certainly helps). Food can set the tone of a meeting, or soothe the soul of someone in need of comfort, and the simplest ingredient can enhance or ebb a drink or dish. Why have you left your kitchen? Is it that search for nature's finest? Were you thrown out by your fellow connoisseurs or came to a mutual agreement? Or is it simply time for you to set out to prove yourself, journal in hand, intent on making a cookbook to outlast the ages? Despite why you decided on a change of pace, your skills will prove vital to those you get swept away on an adventure with, even if in unexpected ways. Please work with your DM!

Skill Proficiencies: Insight; choose one from Nature, Survival, or Performance

Tool Proficiencies: Cook's Utensils; choose either Herbalism Kit or Brewer's Supplies

Languages: One language of your choice, although your vocabulary is limited to culinary colloquialisms, talk of money, and "small talk."

Equipment: Cook's Utensils, set of chosen second tool, iron pot or frying pan, jug of cooking oil, Spices kit, recipe book or journal & ink/pen, tinderbox, mess kit, chef's uniform or fine clothes, and a pouch containing 10 gp

Feature: Tasteful Travels

Your adventure out of the kitchen has left you in high spirits. You have advantage on Wisdom (Survival) checks made to track ingredients, plants, or animals to add to your preparations. Once a day, you can provide your party with a free meal, fulfilling their food requirement for the day. Your experience with foodstuffs and the preparation of thus has left you with useful knowledge on where to locate things, or perhaps even people, that you can rely on for information (please check with your DM to ensure the information you seek is related to your field before utilizing this).

Alternate Feature: Captivating Chef

Are you out on the road to boost your own portfolio? You have the opportunity to make a living off your preparations during your travels by joining a staff in need of help, or freelancing. In addition, you can garner fame by seeking out those of status to cook for, and creating a performance to please the eyes and stomach, as well as fill your purse and gain status of your own. These performances have the chance to garner you attention with those of even higher status. Please check with your DM, as you may be in a place this is impossible such as a desert or a dungeon.
