The tip of this spear is a violet, semitransparent crystal that regrows over time. The crystal's tip is supernaturally sharp, but brittle.

You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls with this magic spear. It also scores a critical hit on either 19 or 20.

If you roll a 1 on the d20 for any attack roll with this weapon, the crystal shatters and this weapon instead becomes no different than a nonmagical quarterstaff. The crystal regrows at dawn, at which point this weapon again becomes a magic spear.
