Chitine[edit]

Chitines where once human, but were transformed by a dark ritual into a race of spiderlike, four-armed humanoids (all the better to serve the drow). Many chitines fled from drow cities, and have spread through the underdark, but they have largely remained true to the values of chaos and evil imposed upon them by their former drow masters.

Effect: +14 Vs. AC; 3d6 + 9 damage. Until the end of the encounter, each time the chitine sneak hits the target, the chitine sneak slides it 1 square.
Great Leap ♦ at-will
Effect: The chitine sneak makes a high or long jump. The DC of the jump is determined as if the chitine sneak had made a run up. The distance the chitine sneak can jump can exceed its speed.
First Strike
Effect: At the start of the encounter, the chitine sneak gains combat advantage against foes that haven't acted yet.
Artful Dodger
Effect: The chitine sneak gains a +2 bonus to AC against opportunity attacks.
Sneak Attack
Effect: Once per round, when the chitine sneak has combat advantage, it deals and extra 2d6 damage.
Grapple
Effect: The chitine sneak gains a +4 bonus to attack rolls to grab and to move a grabbed target, and can make melee attacks against the grabbed target while sustaining a grab.

Chitine Sneak Tactics[edit]

A Chitine.

The chitine sneak relies on flanking to gain combat advantage for the benefits of sneak attack. It will often wait on the ceiling, dropping down on foes that pass underneath.

A character knows the following information with a successful arachana check.

Spydric Origin: Your ancestors were changed by the arachania, so you are considered a spiderkind creature for the purposes of effects that relate to creature origin. You also have the spider keyword.
Grapple: You gain a +4 bonus to attack rolls made to grab and to mive a grabbed target, and you can still make melee attacks against the grabbed target while you are sustaining a grab
Web: You can use web as an encounter power.

You throw a net of sticky spider silk at your foe, pinning him to the ground.
