Weapon (Long sword, Shield, Great Axe), legendary (major)

The charge blade is a tactical weapon with complex mechanics. It's often used in high-level, dangerous battles.

Tactical Weapon This weapon grants a +2 bonus to attack rolls and damage rolls.

Basic Attacks The charge blade has three basic physical attacks:

Sword Deals damage equal to a normal longsword (1d10 slashing damage).

Shield Deals 1d8 bludgeoning damage, While you holding this shield you gain +2 bonus AC.

Axe Form Combines the shield and sword into a giant two-headed axe that deals 1d12 slashing damage

Phials The mechanic that makes the charge blade dangerous is the "Phial" system. Phials are liquids that can cause high explosive damage (1d12 force damage), but at room temperature they are inactive and harmless. To activate phials, you must boil them to their flashpoint state. The sword has a special mechanism that captures heat energy after slashing a target. This mechanism has two charges, each of which can be used to boil three phials. To gain a charge, you must deal damage equal to or greater than 3d12 + your level. A standard charge blade has six inactive phials stored in the shield. You can reload all phials as a bonus action.

Charged Shield You activate all your phials and open the shield's mechanism to expose the flashpoint phials on its surface. When you make a shield attack, you deal an additional 1d12 force damage and can use your reaction to parry an enemy attack. Regardless of whether the attack hits you, the attacker takes 1d12 force damage. Charged Shield lasts for up to 2 minutes.

Charged Blade After you Charged your shield you can charge up your sword by sheathing your sword in a shield and injecting two Phials into your sword. This grants your sword an additional 1d12 force damage. Charged Blade can be activated up to 1 minute.

Charged Axe Similar to Charged Shield and Charged Blade, Charged Axe combines the shield and sword into one weapon. Instead of dealing 1d12 force damage, Charged Axe deals 3d12 additional force damage. However, it also consumes one phial per attack.

Energy Blade This is a special technique for dealing with large monsters or groups of enemies. After using both Charged Shield and Charged Blade, you sheathe your sword in the shield again and compress the phials with high pressure from the sword. This creates a massive explosion through the other side of the shield. Creatures within a 20-foot radius must make a DC 20 Dexterity saving throw, taking 1d12 force damage per phial on a failed save and half damage on a successful one. You can use this feature a number of times twice to your proficiency bonus per long rest.

Ultra Elemental Discharge This is the ultimate technique for the charge blade, requiring the same conditions as Energy Blade. You unleash all your flashpoint phials at once. Creatures in a 20-foot cone must make a DC 16 Dexterity saving throw, taking 3d12 force damage per phial on a failed save and half damage on a successful one. You can use this feature equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest.
