A large mass of slime, this pudding can destroy small villages, and towns. The adventures brave enough to face have to fight through many black pudding spawns that were spawned from the monstrosity they were sent to fight against.

| Effect: Close Blast 3;+15 vs. Fortitude 5d6+10 acid damage, and the pudding grabs the target (escape DC 21). | ||
 Melt

| Effect: One creature grabbed by the pudding. The target takes 3d6+18 aacid damage and loses a healing surge. It takes 10 extra acid damage if it has no healing surges. | ||

| Effect: Triggers when enemy hits pudding with an attack. A black pudding spawn appears in the unpoccupied square closest to the pudding. | ||

Black Pudding Town Swallower Tactics[edit]
A black pudding town swallower will first try to engulf as many enemies as possible. Then it will melt away the grabbed enemies and slam into ungrabbed enemies.
Black Pudding Town Swallower Lore[edit]
A character knows the following information with a successful nature check.
DC 15: Black puddings of this size are usually summoned by powerful mage.
DC 20: When in a dungeon with immaculate walls, oozes are most likley in the area, waiting to eat. After eating oozes usually go into a torpor.
DC 25: No one understands where oozes come from. Many are natural, yet they can be created by spells and phenomena. Failed attemtps at powerful rituals can also make oozes, yet some of this size are made by evil wizards or necromancers.
Encounter Groups[edit]
Usually, these are used as guardians or as traps. Many tribes of trolls might have one in thier possesion.
