3.5 Halfling (Herregor Supplement)

This diminutive race is also a product of the changing energies of the Shattering. They too have formed their own culture, but find it much easier to mingle amongst both of the other races of “near men”. Even today they often act as emissaries, go-betweens, and traders between the human and dwarven nations. They have developed a nomadic culture that flows along the merchant routes and trade roads of the world.
 Halfling Racial Traits
+2 Charisma, +2 Dexterity, –2 Strength: Halflings are nimble and personable, but their small stature makes them weaker than other races.
Small: Halflings are Small creatures, and gain a +1 size bonus to their AC, a +1 size bonus on attack rolls, and a +4 size bonus on Stealth checks.
Slow Speed: Halflings have a base speed of 20 feet.
Keen Senses: Halflings receive a +2 racial bonus on sound- and taste-based Perception skill checks.
Sure Footed: Halflings receive a +2 racial bonus on Acrobatics and Climb skill checks.
Halfling Luck: Halflings receive a +1 racial bonus on all saving throws.
Trader's Knack: Halflings receive a +2 racial bonus on all diplomacy checks in a business environment. In addition due to their knack for ferreting out bargains, their disarming nature, and their penchant to being overlooked in crowds they may make a gather information check in 1d4 x 10 minutes, instead of 1d4 hours.
Weapon Familiarity: Halflings are proficient with slings and treat any weapon with the word “halfling” in its name as a martial weapon.
Languages: Halflings begin play speaking River Trader. Halflings with high Intelligence scores can choose any language.
Favored Class: The favored class of halflings is rogue or sorcerer.
