Giantkin Brute. A melee weapon deals two extra dice of its damage when the varl hits with it (included in the attack). Additionally, they receive a +1 bonus on attack rolls.

Heavy Impact. When the warhawk hits a creature with a melee attack, he receives a free attack against all creatures adjacent to the target (even if they are normally outside the warhawk's range). This attack is made with the same roll from the triggering attack and deals half the damage of the triggering attack. Attacks caused by this ability can trigger additional heavy impact hits, although not against creatures who were already affected by this "chain" of attacks. Note that for creatures being hit in this third link of the chain take 1/4 damage, fourth is 1/8 damage, etc.

Willpower. The varl are accustomed to hardship and struggle. Through sheer force of will they can push themselves beyond their already quite great limits. This ability may be used three times, but no more than once per turn. All uses of this ability are recharged on a Short or Long Rest. • The varl may move an extra 10 feet. • The varl may reroll a die for an attack roll. • The varl may reroll a die for a saving throw. • The varl scores a critical hit from a 17, 18, or 19 on an attack roll.


Greatsword Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 21 (3d10 + 5) slashing damage.

Tempest (Recharge 4-6) The varl makes a greatsword attack against every creature within range. This ability can trigger heavy impact.
