Ultaria (5e Creature)
From D&D Wiki
medium undead (Shade), neutral evil
Saving Throws Dexterity (+18), Wisdom (+18)
Chain Master. Ultaria can innately summon up to 30 nearly indestructible chains made of shadow that he can control with ease, and can dispel them at will. Ultaria can attack an amount of times per turn equal to the amount of chains summoned, minus the amount of chains used to restrain creatures, and his attacks count as magical for the sake of bypassing resistances and immunities. His chains can change their size and shape, up to a maximum length of 120 ft and a minumium of 10 ft, and up to a maximum width of 2 feet and a minimum of 1 centimeter.
Animate Chains. Ultaria can animate any number of chains within 240 ft of him, without counting towards the number of chains he can control, although they do count towards his max of 30 attacks per turn. The chains Ultaria animates do the same amount of damage as his summoned chains, minus the necrotic damage, and they cannot change size or shape.
Chain Protection. Every 10 summoned chains under Ultaria’s control add to Ultaria’s base armor class of 25.
Superior Magic Resistance. Ultaria has advantage on saving throws against spell effects, and if Ultaria is targeted by a line spell, the spell’s target becomes the caster.
Legendary Resistance (5/day). If Ultaria fails a saving throw, he can choose to succeed instead.
Chain Whip. Ranged Weapon Attack: +18 to hit, reach 10-120 ft., any targets within range. Hit: 27 (2d10 + 10) + 17 (2d10) necrotic damage. If a creature is hit by this attack, Ultaria can make the creature succeed on a DC 30 saving throw or become restrained by the chain they were hit by. A creature restrained by Ultaria’s chains can not teleport or pass through dimensions.
Piercing Stab. Ranged Weapon Attack: +18 to hit, reach 10-120 ft., any targets within range. Hit: 47 (4d10 + 10) + 9 (1d10 + 2) necrotic damage.
Fist. Melee Weapon Attack: +18 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 17 (1d10 + 10) + 7 (1d10) necrotic damage.
