Three Goblins in a Trench Coat[edit]

Physical Description[edit]

Typically, the three goblins won't actually wear a trench coat. Instead, they'll wear a very long cloak, long enough and thick enough to hide all but the top goblin's head. The appearance of the goblins vary, so no three goblins in a trench coat look the same. The two goblins holding up the top tend to switch positions, but the very top goblin must stay the same as to keep up the illusion of one person.

Sometimes, one or all of the goblins will wear a magical item made specifically to disguise their true appearance, such as a Hat of Disguise. But most of the time, they'll feign hobgoblin ancestry because it's easier and much simpler. If they do disguise themselves as other races though, they pick taller, stronger races like the bugbear or goliath.

History[edit]

No one really knows when goblins began to practice this strange ritual, just that it's been around for a very long time. Some speculate that this practice has been around for just as long as goblins themselves have been.

Society[edit]

While goblins in trench coats rarely meet another like them, the three goblins that stick together are typically from the same tribe. Very rarely will the goblins not know each other prior to the diguise.
