Ring, artifact (Requires attunement)

This ring holds up to 3 charges and regains 1 charge each dawn. When a charge is expended, a creature grasped by the wielder must make a DC 23 Constitution saving throw. On a failure, they take 9d10+10 necrotic damage, and the wielder gains HP equal to life lost by the creature; this includes resistances and vulnerabilities. On a success, the creature takes half damage, and the wielder gains no HP. If this damage reduces the target to 0 hit points, it is disintegrated. A disintegrated creature and everything it is wearing and carrying, except magic items, are reduced to a pile of fine gray dust. The creature can be restored to life only by means of a true resurrection or a wish spell.
