The Evolved[edit]

This class, plain and simple, is one of the evolved from the video game prototype.


Creating an Evolved[edit]

If you wish to create an Evolved you have a variety of options for their backstory. Maybe you were a captive in a horrible experiment that a necromancer or other powerful mage was conducting. Maybe you were a simple man or woman, who one day, drank from something they shouldn't have. Really how you got this way is up to you and your own imagination.

Quick Build

You can make an Evolved quickly by following these suggestions. First, Strength should be your highest ability score, followed by Constitution.

Class Features

As a Evolved you gain the following class features.

Hit Points

Hit Dice: 1d8 per Evolved level
Hit Points at 1st Level: 1d8 + Constitution modifier
Hit Points at Higher Levels: 1d8 (or 5) + Constitution modifier per Evolved level after 1st

Proficiencies

Armor: Natural Armor
Weapons: Natural Weapons, simple weapons
Tools: None
Saving Throws: Strength, Constitution
Skills: Pick 3 from Acrobatics, Athletics, Deception, Persuasion, and Perception.

Equipment

You start with the following equipment, in addition to the equipment granted by your background:

  • (a) Explorers Pack or or (b) Dungeoneer's Pack

Ability Score Increase[edit]

When you reach 4th level, and again at 8th, 12th, 16th and 19th level, you can increase one ability score of your choice by 2, or you can increase two ability scores of your choice by 1. As normal, you can't increase an ability score above 20 using this feature.
