The Absolver (5e Equipment)

Weapon (warhammer), very rare (requires attunement by a cleric or paladin)

You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls with this magic weapon. The weapon has 5 charges, and regain 1d4+1 charges on dawn. While wielding it, you can spend 1 charge to cast remove curse or 2 charges to end a charmed condition on a creature.

You can redeem a devil with this weapon. Make an attack roll. On a hit, instead of dealing damage, you can spend 3 points to force the devil to make a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the devil is absolved. The attitude of the absolved devil shifts to friendly towards the absolver and indifferent towards its allies. Roll a d6: on a roll of 1-3, its creature type changes for monstrosity and its alignment becomes neutral; on a 3-5, it changes to fey, and its alignment shifts towards chaotic neutral; and a 6 turns its type into celestial, and your body changes reflecting this new celestial nature, with leathery wings become feathery, and the scaled skin assuming a more smooth and metallic look.

If you spend all charges of this weapon, it becomes just a +1 warhammer, losing all the other powers.
