Presumably, minor cosmetic changes (such as "width:97%") would apply to all banners. I'd recommend creating div.messagebox in Common.css so these changes can be made efficiently. I did something similar in WikiRPS. --CĂșthalion 16:33, 9 April 2007 (MDT)

I think it would be okay to just change the width through the templates. --Green Dragon 13:15, 10 April 2007 (MDT)
There are at least three good reasons for doing it through the CSS style:
  1. It ensures that all of the templates are changed identically.
  2. It makes it easy to make other changes in the future.
  3. It makes it easy to add new templates with the same formatting.
And some not so good reasons:
  1. The style exists anyway, you might as well make use of it.
  2. Local formatting is ugly; styles are elegant.

The template has been changed, and there was no original CSS class that specific the width that it uses. — Blue Dragon (talk) 17:33, 6 May 2007 (MDT)
