Ready to Begin?[edit]

Do you think we are ready to begin formatting the base classes on D&D Wiki? Have we discussed formatting enough so that everyone is happy? Are there more issues that need to be addressed? Should we wait for voting to completely finish?

Begin — I think we are ready to being with the basic formatting. The first things that need to get done are much simpler and I think they do not require the voting to be 100% complete to be implemented. Templates needs to be added first off, "Back to" footers fixed, and the DnD Class Preload needs to be modernized. All these things can be done without voting done so I think we are ready to begin. --Green Dragon 23:07, 19 April 2007 (MDT)

Wait. We need more votes on 2-4 on Talk:Druid (Evaluational Base Class Layout). Once those are done (or if we do actually have enough votes and those notes on the talk page need updating), we'll be ready. Armond 11:23, 24 April 2007 (MDT)

All that is left is three then (cmon guys). --Green Dragon 16:56, 30 April 2007 (MDT)

Begin - Looks good.   Hooper   talk    contribs    email   12:13, 27 May 2007 (MDT)

Begin—The last two discussion have to do with modifying the CSS, which doesn't effect how the class pages are edited. If the new layout is applied now, there will be no need to re-edit once resolutions to the last discussions are reached. Only the CSS will need to be modified. —Sledged (talk) 15:55, 29 May 2007 (MDT)

Final Call on Voting and Discussions[edit]

Time for a final call on the discussions that are left:

All voting discussions and close 2007 June 6th Midnight (MDT). —Sledged (talk) 10:48, 23 May 2007 (MDT)

Extension due to Green and Blue being away. —Sledged (talk) 13:55, 4 June 2007 (MDT)
Removed extension - we are back and this needs to be started sometime.... --Green Dragon 16:14, 5 June 2007 (MDT)

To-Do only on Base Classes (PrC's will come later, Base first)
Step # Name Description Done? Finished By (when multiple users please use bullets)
1. Modernize DnD Class Preload
  • Modernize DnD Class Preload to match the Druid (Evaluational Base Class Layout).
  • Add templates in as a standard, they can be removed when formatted.
They're in but they're nowiki'ed so that the preload doesn't show up in the categories. —Sledged (talk) 12:22, 11 June 2007 (MDT)
Scratch that I've just nowiki'ed the whole preload with ALL CAPS instructions to be removed before the class is saved. —Sledged (talk) 17:12, 11 December 2007 (MST)
  • Try to make sure Template:Base Class NPC Recommended will be added to the talk page (this may just have to be added by hand to each new creation).
  • Also try to figure out a way so users will not comment out their entire creation and have no idea what is wrong.
Using bold markup instead of comment markers is an option. That way when it's saved, the parts they've forgot or yet to fill in stand out. —Sledged (talk) 12:22, 11 June 2007 (MDT)
I like that idea. --Green Dragon 10:55, 13 June 2007 (MDT)
After playing around a bit, I went with <- and ->, because they stand out just as much as the bold, and new users won't have to look around in the edit text box for the markup that makes bold characters. —Sledged (talk) 17:12, 11 December 2007 (MST)
  • Finally make sure everything is present, even things that have not been added to Druid (Evaluational Base Class Layout) such as a spell list, Spells per Day, and Spells Known area (see the Red Mage).
