issues[edit]

This class seems very umm single gendered what if i wanted to play a male demon hunter it is not fair to make classes only available to one gender and the name kind of closes the possibility of having a male character with this class

It was in naming only... Why have it male centric?

Hunter is non gender specific you may have a female hunter but not a male huntress

I noticed that there is no Spells known column as stated in the spellcasting feature description. Is there any way you would be able to add that in?

The hand has an ability that says "Paralyzed for 2 turns" What is the DC? Is there a DC? Most OP ability if not.

Balance[edit]

New spell slot levels are considered a "class feature" so I recommend moving the 13th level archetype feature to 11th instead, for a better spread. Marasmusine (talk) 06:32, 2 February 2016 (MST)

Life in Death needs a way higher DC con save for that to be remotely fair in combat. I'd say at least an 18 minimum, and probably a failed death save as well as getting half HP back if you miss the con save.

Ducky's Thoughts

My thoughts on Life in Death and Telepathic Translation have been voiced. 9th level hand of glory "You can use the hand to Dispel any abjuration spell, as an action." ANY abjuration? No check/save required? It has a number of times it can be used but it still seems a bit busted to me.

I really love this, it gives me Ranger vibes in how it's built but the flavor is super awesome, and I can feel the Castlevania-ness in it. I'm so glad you picked up this project to attempt to rescue it, it's something really awesome now. MoDuckyMo (talk) 16:25, 28 January 2021 (MST)

Thank you for the kind words ducky, for real! I have take into consideration your ideas about Life in Death and Telepatic Translation, and i'll rework both of them!
About the 9th level hand of glory feature, iv'e taken the idea from the Paladin's 14th level feature "Cleansing Touch", that allows the paladin to use an action to end any type of spell. I tried to make a more niche version of that ability. I do believe that it is pretty strong, when you get to use it, but also circumstantially strong only, because is not very often you get to fight spellcaster, let alone spellcasters that do use abjuration spells. But i'll ponder over this feature as well, and again, thank you for the feedback, it is appreciated!
