Swhales are a peculiar breed of scimitar not typically found very far from the desert lands where they originate. A swhale contains a number of tiny pockets along its length, packed tightly with sand or other small particles, with the objective of blinding the opponent while cutting them to ribbons.

Sword Sand. Whenever you make a weapon attack against a creature, you may use this feature to force the creature to make a Dexterity saving throw contested against your weapon attack, unleashing the sand within as a cloud into the creature's face. On a failed save, the target becomes blinded until the end of their next turn. Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you spend one minute reloading the swhale with more sand or sand-like substitutes.
