Summon Shikigami: Paper Swarm
2nd-level Conjuration
Casting time: 1 minute
Range: 90 ft
Components: V, S, M (One large scroll of paper, and rune carved calligraphy brush and ink.)
Duration: Concentration, 1 hour

Summon a swarm of tiny, flying paper cutout dolls to do your bidding. Perfect for reconnaissance and spying. You summon a swarm of hovering paper cutout dolls by infusing them with minor spirits of the Spirit World in an unoccupied space within range. The summoned paper cutouts (or Shikigami) are friendly to you and your companions. Roll initiative for the swarm, which has its own turns. They obey any verbal commands that you issue to them (no action required by you). If you don’t issue any commands to them, they flee from hostile creatures, but otherwise take no actions. You hear anything that the paper swarm can hear and see whatever the paper swarm sees. If your concentration is broken, the spirits occupying the paper swarm are sent back to the Spirit World and the swarm is reduced to ordinary paper, floating back down to the ground.

Use the statistics for Swarm of Insects (MM 338)for the paper swarm, except they are vulnerable to fire and do not have the Bite attack.

Any creature moving through the paper swarm treats the area the swarm occupies as difficult terrain.
