Weapon Binding

Starting out at level 1 you have delved into the Mysteries of the Arcane to increase the Power of your Spells through your blade. You can Spend 1 hour to attune to a weapon of choice. This is different from attunement with Magical Items. You are only able to attune to a Weapon once a day. If you attune to a new weapon you lose Attunement on your previous one.

Whilst a Weapon is bound to you this way you gain a +1 to hit with this weapon. This weapon also becomes a Spellcasting focus for your spells giving them a +1 to hit as well. Once reaching 5th level, and again at level 11 and 16, the bonus to attack increases by 1.

Spellcasting

By 2nd level your Ability to pour mana through your weapon increases to being able to cast spells.

Cantrips

Starting at level 2, You are able to refine your blade with magic. You learn the following cantrips: Green-Flame Blade, Sword Burst, Booming Blade and Light.

Spell Slots

The Spellblader table shows how many spell slots you have to cast your spells of lst level and higher. To cast one of these spells, you must expend a slot of the spell's level or higher. You regain all expended spell slots when you finish a long rest.

You prepare the list of Spellblader spells that are available for you to cast, choosing from the Spellblader spell list. When you do so, choose a number of Spellblader spells equal to your Intelligence modifier + your Spellblader level (minimum of one spell). The spells must be of a level for which you have spell slots.

For example, if you are a 5th-level Spellblader, you have four 1st-level and two 2nd-level spell slots. With a Intelligence of 16, your list of prepared spells can include six spells of 1st or 2nd level, in any combination. If you prepare the 1st-level spell Burning Hands, you can cast it using a 1st-level or 2nd-level slot. Casting the spell doesn't remove it from your list of prepared spells.

Spellcasting Ability

Intelligence is your spellcasting ability for your Spellblader spells since your enchanting spells come from pure power of the mind. You use your Intelligence whenever a spell refers to your spellcasting ability. In addition, you use your Intelligence modifier when setting the saving throw DC for a Spellblader spell you cast and when making an attack roll with one.

Spell save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Intelligence modifier
Spell attack modifier = your proficiency bonus + your Intelligence modifier
