Shard Mind (5e Race)

Shard Mind(Psionic) are a port of the 4e Shardmind race and not my own creation, I have built this race in response to the 5e Unearthed Arcana's Mystic class and felt the Shardminds deserved a race that better fit their psionic backgrounds than some other versions of this race have.
Shardminds are crystalline creatures consisting of hundreds of small shards of translucent crystal shards assembled into humanoid form and animated by a force of pure psionic energy. Shardminds choose their forms to mimic the shapes of humanoids; some take on forms that seem more masculine, while others appear more feminine. Shardminds may also 'shatter' their form to be little more than whirling cloud of crystal fragments.
Shardminds are living creatures only in the loosest sense. Their crystalline bodies require no sustenance, and they don't breathe. They don't need sleep, though they must still rest for six hours to gain the benefits of an extended rest. They don't have gender and don't reproduce. Shardminds are fragments of pure thought given life and substance. They are logical, emotionally distant, and naive to the ways of society in the world. Some approach life with innocent curiosity, eager to embrace the wealth of experiences the world has to offer, while others remain reserved and aloof, bearing a higher purpose in mind at all times.
Shard Mind Traits
Crystal guardians here to protect the world from the far outsiders
Ability Score Increase. Your Intelligence score increase by 2. Your Wisdom score increase by 1.
Age. Shard Minds are born fully mature and may live thousands of years barring accident.
Alignment. Shard Minds are generally lawful and often care very little for good or evil
Size. Your size is Medium.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Living Construct. You are immune to the poisoned condition and non-magical disease. Additionally you have resistance to poison damage. You do not need to eat drink sleep or breathe, and have no sense of smell, but you can gain the benefit of consumable's. You may be the targeted by and subjected to the effects of spells and abilities that can affect either construct or humanoid creature types. As a living construct, you only receives only 1/2 of the normally recovered hit points from spells (minimum of 1) and treat all levels of exhaustion as being one lower.
Rest of the Sleepless. You do not sleep and can’t be forced to sleep by any means. To gain the benefits of a long rest, you can spend all 8 hours doing light activity, such as repairing yourself and keeping watch.
Form Shift. A Shard Mind can take a full round action to change between its normal humanoid form and a swarm of floating crystal shards
Crystalline Containment. You can incorporate any armor into your crystal swarm. It will break into smaller crystals when you enter your swarm form, but still convey its bonuses, and rematerialize into armor when you enter humanoid form. You can remove it in humanoid form and sell it or replace it if you want. You can incorporate any weapon into your swarm of crystals. It will break into smaller crystals when you enter your swarm form but you can still make attacks normally with it because the weapon shards will actively slice your enemies. The weapon deals slashing damage when in swarm form, regardless of whatever types of damage it would normally do. When you enter humanoid form, the weapon will rematerialize and you can remove it and sell it or replace it if you want. You can enclose up to your light load worth of equipment, its essence magically stored, inside crystals that are part of your swarm. This equipment appears back in its normal position when you assume humanoid form.
Naturally Psionic. Shard Minds gain 1 Psi Point per HD
Brittle Body. Shard Minds are vulnerable to sonic and take 50% damage from any sonic source
Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and Shard Speak, a language ot tones made by vibrating their crystals, generally unspeakable to other races
Shardminds can create a humanoid form from their crystal swarm. In humanoid form they have the following traits:
- Two natural claw attacks, which deal 1d4 slashing damage.
- Light Fortification (Ex): When a critical hit or sneak attack is scored on a Shardmind, there is a 25% chance that the critical hit or sneak attack is negated and damage is instead rolled normally.
Shardminds can become a swarm of floating crystals, levitating 1 ft. off the ground up to a height of 5 ft. In swarm form they have the following traits:
- Can only take a move and a bonus action each round.
- Gains the swarm subtype. It becomes a diminutive-sized swarm, taking up a 10ft. square, with a 0ft. reach, and has the following traits (which override some of the default swarm traits):
- +4 bonus to AC.
- Not subject to critical hits or flanking.
- Cannot be tripped, grappled, or bull rushed, and they cannot grapple an opponent.
- Takes half again as much damage (+50%) from spells or effects that affect an area, such as splash weapons and many evocation spells.
- Deals 1d6+1 per HD piercing damage if any creature moves into it's space, or it moves into a creatures space
- Takes half damage from slashing and piercing weapons.
- Not immune to single target spells and effects.
