Shadow Cluster[edit]

Physical Description[edit]

Shadow Clusters are black, shadowy, humanoid creatures. They look similar to humans, they are composed of a dark, almost fluid mass of tendrils, over which they have some degree of control, Shadow Clusters have great intelligence.


Shadow Clusters are born from corpses. when a necromancer dies and are unwilling to die, the corpse is infused with the power they used to wield. The corpse then gains unlife as a Shadow Cluster. After its creation, it loses most of the magical knowledge it had it life, leaving just the basics, forcing it to stay over on its road of magic.


Shadow Cluster have the same type of Society as they had before dying, normally blending back in as if nothing happened, but now hiding their face and body, hiding what they now are, they tend to wear masks to hide what they now look like, but a few do embrace it.

Shadow Cluster Names[edit]

Shadow Clusters tend to keep the name they had in life, while some do give themselves new shorter names.

Shadow Cluster Traits[edit]

Shadows of what they used to be, now living again.....
Ability Score Increase. Your Intelligence score increases by 2, and your Dexterity score increases by 1.
Age. Shadow Clusters will live until killed. There is no record of a Shadow Cluster dying of natural causes.
Alignment. Shadow Clusters are notorious for not meddling in the affairs of other races and keep to themselves, although they are not indifferent to shed blood of a foe to protect others or one's self later. As such they follow a neutral alignment more often than not.
Size. Shadow Clusters stand between 6 to 7 feet tall. Your size is Medium.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Darkvision. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Shadow Shift.. At 3rd level you may cast Misty Step twice per long rest without spending a spell slot or requiring material components as long as you are in a dark environment or a shadow.
Slip into Shadows. You seem to meld into the shadows and disappear from view when you wish. When you roll a 1 on an Stealth check while in darkness, you can re-roll the die and must use the new roll.
Shadowless. From the realm of shadow, one becomes one with their shadow. You do not cast a shadow.
Aberration. Your creature type is aberration, instead of humanoid.
Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common, Primordial and Abyssal.
