Rorkaleth (5e Creature)
From D&D Wiki
Large humanoid, neutral evil
Saving Throws Str +16, Con +15, Wis +22
Legendary Resistance (3/day). If Rorkaleth fails a saving throw, he can choose to succeed instead.
Netherlight Amulet. Rorkaleth bears a magical amulet that gives him +10 to Wisdom saving thows and +5 to Initiative rolls.
Innate Spellcasting. Rorkaleth is a 20th level spellcaster. His spell casting ability is Intelligence (spell save DC 20, +13 to hit with spell attacks). He can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components:
Cantrips: Blade Ward, Eldritch Blast (4 beams)*, Fire Bolt (4d10), Ray of Frost (4d8)
Alert. Rorkaleth naturally gains +5 to initiative rolls, cannot be surprised as long as he's conscious, and other creatures don't gain advantage on attack rolls against him as a result of being hidden from him.
Great Weapon Master. When Rorkaleth scores a critical hit or reduces a target's hit points to 0, he can make one melee attack as a bonus action. Also, before he makes an attack roll, he can choose to take -5 to the roll. If the attack lands, he adds +10 to the damage dealt.
Spell Sniper. When Rorkaleth makes a ranged spell attack, the range for the spell doubles and it ignores half-cover and three-quarters cover. He also gained an additional cantrip*.
War Magic. When Rorkaleth casts a spell as an action, he can make one weapon attack as a bonus action.
Summon Weapon. Rorkaleth's weapons are formed of an ethereal fabric unknown to the Material Plane. His master has bound that same fabric to Rorkaleth's being and granted him the ability to summon and banish his weapons at will. He summons or banishes either Hope's End or Remorse to an open hand as a free action. Rorkaleth is ambidextrous and can summon either weapon to either hand. He cannot banish one and summon another simultaneously without taking a standard action to do so.
Superior Initiative. Rorkaleth has a total Initiative Bonus of +15. In addition, if he rolls a Natural 1 for Initiative, he rerolls and must take the new roll.
Multiattack. Rorkaleth makes four melee attack actions or casts two spells.
Hope's End (Greataxe). Melee Weapon Attack: +19 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 39 (4d12 + 11) slashing damage plus an additional 18 (6d6) necrotic.
Remorse (Longsword). Melee Weapon Attack: +19 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 20 (2d8 + 11) slashing damage. Remorse ignores resistance to slashing damage. Target' maximum hit points are reduced by 2d4 + target's Con modifier for three days.
Breaker Gloves. Melee Weapon Attack: +16 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 15 (2d6 + 4) plus 13 (3d8) force damage.
Tackle. +16 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d4 + 4) bludgeoning damage. If Rorkaleth moves at least 30ft in a straight line toward a target, he can choose to make an unarmed attack in the form of a shoulder bash. On a hit, the target makes a DC 24 Strength saving throw. On a failure, the target takes an additional 1d4 of bludgeoning damage and is knocked prone 10 feet away. On a successful save, the target takes no extra damage and is pushed 5 feet back.
The being called Rorkaleth is the remnants of a lost warrior-sage searching for answers. His studies revealed the possibility of another plane of existence that encompassed all we know; a sort of super-plane. When he tried to contact it, however, something pulled him in. What he had found was a mirror image of the Ethereal Plane. Rorkaleth's past life ended there. His new master is a being that holds no method to its madness. It sends its puppets to do treacherous acts and displays of dark, murderous powers across all the planes. Just when it seems these actions are leading to a larger scheme, they deviate and dismantle any work that was seemingly done. Rorkaleth stands among these servants alongside his dragon mount, Kalameet. Together, they walk unopposed across the waters connecting the worlds. Apart, they each do smaller, yet equally gruesome, tasks for their lord.
