Ring, very rare (requires attunement by a spellcaster)

A polished silver ring with a large sapphire embedded on top and a small garnet on the bottom.

user can spend 4 ability score improvement points on wisdom, intelligence or charisma as long as it does not exceed a maximum of 20.

When worn by a sorcerer or wizard, the character can spend a bonus action concentrating on one of the stones. Concentrating on the garnet allows the user to convert a number of hit points equal to twice the desired spell level to regain an expended spell slot of that level. Concentrating on the sapphire allows for the opposite effect, converting a spell slot into twice its level in hit points. Using this ring more than 8 times per day requires a Wisdom saving throw with DC 20, on a failed save, the user falls unconscious for 1 hour.





Sentience. Ring of the magi is a lawful good sentient ring. Intelligence 22 (+4), Wisdom 24 (+7), Charisma 16 (+6). hearing and vision 60 feet. Understands and speaks Common, Dwarvish, Elvish, Primordial, Celestial.
Personality. Ring of the Magi has a personality similar to that of a student of magic, has a thirst for knowledge and always yearning for more power

Curse. the ring permanently binds to the user and lowers strength, dexterity and constitution by 1. in addition to this when a critical fail is rolled the sentient ring tries to forcefully take over your mind and body, the user must make DC 15 Charisma save. if successful the ring ceases the attempt to take over your mind. If failed the ring/DM will take over your body, if this happens at the beginning of each turn the player must make a DC 19 Charisma save in order to retake control. once beaten the ring ceases the attempt to take over your mind until your next Critical Fail.
