UNCOMPLETED Reawakened Abraxonian[edit]

Even in death, the Abraxonians are still with us.

Physical Description[edit]

History[edit]

The Abraxonians lived eons ago and were one of the Elder Races that created all of the mysterious artefacts and relics that are now found today. Despite their technological and magical accomplishments, their society collapsed due to a civil war between two factions; the Machinists and the Magicians. As the names suggest, the Machinists believed technology was the future and that eventually all lifeforms would be replaced by automatons or a similar mechanical creature. In contrast, the Magicians believed that magic was the salvation of all lifeforms and that any higher beings would exist as pure energy. Both sides fought to make their vision of the future a reality, however amidst their infighting they ravaged their resources and collapsed under the weight of attrition. All the Abraxonians died out, either from war or starvation. However, as a final desperate measure for the survival of their vision of the future, both the Machinists and Magicians preserved members of their faction. Thousands of years later, some have emerged and are referred to by the few historians who are aware of their existence as "Reawakened Abraxonians".

Attitudes and Beliefs[edit]

All Abraxonians subscribe to either the Machinist or Magician belief systems. The Machinists believe strongly in the strength of logic and reason - often being the Lawful alignment or at least Neutral. The Magicians in comparison believe that feelings are more important than logic and use how they feel to judge and make moral decisions. Thus they often tend to be Good or Evil alignments, never having the Lawful alignment and often having the Chaotic one.

In short, Machinists believe;

  • - Technology is our salvation
  • - Logic and Reason trump emotions

And Magicians believe;

  • - Magic is our salvation
  • - Emotions should guide us above all else

Reawakened Abraxonian Names[edit]

Abraxonian names traditionally have masculine names ending in a constant sound and feminine names ending in a vowel sound. They often take hyphenated names as well, as all Abraxonians are free to names themselves. Abraxonians have no last names, instead titles based off position and role in society were used. However you can dismiss this if you choose as Abraxonian society has long since collapsed. As a Reawakened Abraxonian you may choose to take on a new name, or keep your old one.
