Real Dragon (5e Race)
From D&D Wiki
"My armor is like tenfold shields, my teeth are swords, my claws spears, the shock of my tail is a thunderbolt, my wings a hurricane, and my breath death!"
The real dragons where thought to be one of the oldest creatures to exist along with the gods and also been thought to be the strongest. Then came along the dragonborn, a proud race of dragon-like kind. Then came the kobolds tricksters and trappers. Then there were the Drakin - the most influenced dragon race which was the closest to becoming a true dragon. The dragon gods got angry with this corruption and made a new race: the Real dragons. Real dragons are similar to a dragonborn, but with wings and a tail. The Dragon Gods used their eggs and magic to create the Real dragons, with all the characteristic of a regular dragon but at a cost: they were cursed for having using elvish, dwarf and dragonborn blood to experiment on the eggs. Then all the races gathered together to make dragons pay for what they did, and there was a great war between dragons and mortals, even greater than the one between Bahamat and Tiamat. The dragons thought the fight would be won easily, but when mortals have something to fight for they will stop at nothing to achieve their goal. The dragons went into hibernation, hoping the mortals would calm down. but in there slumber many dragons were killed and many legends were lost along with entire family names. Some rivalries formed between races, and for 1000 years there was only hate between the opposing races, and the world has never been the same since
Ever since the dragon-mortal war, the real dragons have lived in the mountains and ravines in sunny places and swamps and only go into towns if there is nothing else to do. Some dragons enjoy hunting and are almost always on the hunt. That's what makes them special: if they are not sleeping, fighting, or training, you can find them devouring all kinds of food. They don't really like sweets like cake all that much, but they do like meat and can smell it 1 mile away. They also stay away from other dragon-like races and will attempt to kill them as soon as they see them.
