Ponyo (also known as Ningyo)[edit]

Physical Description[edit]

History[edit]

Ponyos are the daughters of humans and the Goddess of Mercy and the Guardian of the Sea. They generally stayed in the sea, however, the first Ningyo left and fell in love with a human boy who gave her the name ‘Ponyo,’ hence the popular name for the race.

Society[edit]

Ningyos tend to be free-spirited and leave home at a young age to explore the world. They are very excited and often keep their arms full. They do not generally like to wear shoes or socks. Their clothing tends to be loose, with younger Ponyos having poofier clothing and older Ponyos wearing more flowy clothing. Ponyos tend to school together and while Ponyos love to explore, they do not leave home for very long. Ponyos are protective of one another and love to help each other achieve their goals. Their race is very much one of sisterhood. Younger Ponyos live in the deep sea. Ponyos are rather generous and don’t really understand the concept of money.
