Mounted. The paladin rides atop a warhorse, which wears scale mail barding.

Forceful Strike. A melee weapon does one extra die of its damage type when the paladin hits with it (included in the attack).

Mounted Combatant. While the paladin is mounted and isn't incapacitated, it has advantage on melee attack rolls against unmounted creatures smaller than its mount, can force an attack targeted at its mount to attack it instead, and when its mount is subjected to an effect that allows it to make a Dexterity saving throw for half damage, the mount instead takes no damage on a successful save and only half damage on a failed save.

Note: Paladins do not typically carry more than two different types of weapons.

Longsword. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 12 (2d8 + 3) slashing damage.

Lance. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit (with disadvantage if the target is within 5 ft. of the paladin), reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 16 (2d12 + 3) slashing damage.

Battleaxe. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 12 (2d8 + 3) slashing damage.

Shelter. When a creature that the paladin can see makes an attack against a target that is within 5 feet of the paladin, not mounted or a mount, and smaller than the paladin's mount, the paladin can use its reaction to grant three-quarters cover to the target.

A brave, honorable knight, and an experienced cavalier.

Design Note: If you are using the damage reduction variant rule, the paladin instead has an AC of 14, and a damage reduction value of 2.
