Weapon (longsword or greatsword), legendary (requires attunement by a creature of any neutral alignment)

In a time long past, an immensely powerful balor marched into the outlands, screaming challenges, shouting for good to send an avatar to fight it. A powerful solar accepted the challenge. They met, right in the middle of the outlands. As their swords struck each other in a wave of destructive energy, the blades melded together by the neutral powers of the outlands. The swords merged into one, and the angel and the demon were drawn into it. The blade fell to the ground. The essence of the solar and the balor still constantly argue, within the sword.

Neutral Combat is a +3 weapon that does an extra 2d10 radiant, necrotic, or fire damage on a hit. The wielder can use an action to cause the blade to elongate into a greatsword or shorten into a longsword. While holding it, you can use an action to cast sanctuary, requiring no components, twice a day. While the sanctuary remains, you have resistance to damage from celestials and fiends. If you attack or damage a celestial or a fiend while the sanctuary is active, the sanctuary does not cease to function on that creature.

Sentience. Neutral Combat is a sentient weapon with truesight and hearing out to a radius of 120 feet, an Intelligence score of 19, a Wisdom score of 19, and a Charisma score of 24. Its alignment is neutral.
Personality.
