Murder Mite[edit]

They move quickly down there in the dark, hungry and waiting for us to fall asleep so they can steal us away. We beggar aren't so safe here anymore.

Physical Description[edit]

Murder Mites are stocky hunchbacked rodent creatures of diminutive size. Roughly the size of a halving, these cunning creatures have rough patches of oily fur that dot their scar and rash covered bodies.

History[edit]

Murder Mites came into being during the spread of a mysterious disease that arrived on the backs of fleas. While it was soon cured and treated by local clerics and apothecaries those who became infected for extended periods of time became sickly and warped, eventually becoming the rat-like beings that they are today.

Society[edit]

After years of separation from more polite societies Murder Mites have developed their crude monarchy in the sewers just beneath the sewers across the country. Those not directly involved in the "court" make their burrows in the decaying structures of the sewer walls, while the royalty lives in the main aqueducts to allow themselves freshest water and resources while the rest feed from the royalty's filth.

Murder Mite Names[edit]

Murder mite names are based on food containers or other labels that they find on the stray packaging that comes floating down through the sewers.

Male: Lard, Smokes, Butcher Ham

Female: Crumb, Flour, Matches
