Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster. And if you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back...

Once light; once dark, while other spell casters in the real follow a set of rules and the same conjuration of spells, you've discovered an old form of magic, so ancient that its power is yet to be revealed, you are the only one with this power, who knows where it originated or how to use it, but it is in its own realm of possibilities. Unlike other sources of magic, it is not learned but given. Wherever you go, death follows, but be cautious...

Creating a Shadowmancer[edit]

The Shadows Thicken[edit]

A corpse lays still. A voice comes from the alley where they rest, “Arise.” A figure emerges from the body cast in darkness, lacking the shape to be called human again. It could be called nothing more than a shadow, left by the soul of the corpse that lay behind.

A Shadowmancer is a caster that is able to manipulate the souls of living creatures. Similar to necromancers, but are more adept with the shadows and, to some extent, enchantment spells. They use their abilities to gain absolute control over their enemies' shadows and souls. Often the best way to do this is by raising from their fallen enemies; a skill at which they are unparalleled. Monarchs are also effective with diseases, poisons, and affecting opponents with fear, fatigue, exhaustion, pain, life drain, or even gaining mindless supporters through the use of enchantment magic to charm and dominate.
