Scales.png This page is of questionable balance. Reason: Uses incomplete and incorrect wording throughout. The traits need to be mechanically worded correctly as they are often vague or written like casual conversation. Overall poorly executed and needs a rework both from a lore and probably a mechanical perspective to better integrate with the first party content. Consult the 5e Race Design Guide for help and see the Featured Articles pages for some exemplary content.

Living Artifice[edit]

Gears are turning in my head! And they hurt!

Living Artifices are a label given to humanoids who have used warforged technology to augment themselves. They are a natural progression of the warforged technology. With times of peace comes a Renaissance period, a period with which technology and magic blossomed. After experimenting with exotic magics and technology, artificers realized that you could use the technology to enhance or repair human capabilities. Thus the first "Living Artifice" was created: a patchwork of metal, flesh, stone, steam and magic. Living Artifices have no large permanent civilization or distinct society. They usually attempt to mingle with their native cultures. Any sentient, humanoid race has the potential to become a Living Artifice, but they do not gain any of the applicable racial perks.
